EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE track and field will compete in its final meet before the OVC Outdoor Championship, traveling this weekend to Nashville, Tennessee for the Vanderbilt Outdoor City Challenge. Field events kick off the action on Friday at noon, followed by running events at 5:30 p.m.

At the Gibson Invitational last weekend, several athletes finished inside the top 10 of their respective events while turning in career best marks.
Freshman Grant Milbrath turned in a season best performance in the men's shot put, placing sixth at 15.76m. His mark ranks fourth in the OVC this season. Milbrath also placed eighth in the men's hammer throw invitational at 52.33m. Luke Hatten picked up a PR in the men's hammer throw open at 50.70m for second place.
Gabby Yaccino led SIUE in the women's discus with a 39.61m toss. Alexis Hutchins took third in the women's hammer thro at 50.93m. Claire Bushur finished fourth in the women's shot put at 13.80m, good for sixth in the conference.
In the men's high jump, Drew Tucker recorded a PR at 2.01m for second place. His mark stacks up fourth in the league. Aseanti Boone tallied a 1.62m leap on the women's side of the high jump for third. Folasade Oladipupo claimed eighth in the women's long jump at 5.48m. Nyah Williams earned 11th in the women's triple jump at 11.23m.
In the women's 100m hurdles, Vashanti Reynolds finished seventh and recorded a PR at 14.25. Her mark ranks fifth in program history while stacking up sixth in the league. Tyler Bell led SIUE in the men's 110m hurdles at 14.81.
Kaylee Allen posted a 25.53 time in the women's 200m for 10th. Kailah Carter earned 17th at 25.85. Carter also led SIUE in the women's 400m, finishing ninth at 22.09. Her mark ranks eighth in the OVC this season. Konrad Sacha led the men in the 200m dash, finishing ninth at 22.09.
Roland Prenzler finished fourth in the men's 5,000m at 14:47.01, good for 10th in the league. For the women, Kaitlyn Walker led SIUE in the 5,000m at 17:57.59 for 12th.
