ST. LOUIS – SIUE track and field wrapped up the WashU Distance Carnival at Washington University and the SLU speed / power festival at St. Louis University today.
At the WashU Distance Carnival freshman
Emilee Franklin ran her first 5k on the track where she claimed first in her heat, placing 155th overall at 19:14.71.
During the SLU speed / power festival
Vashanti Reynolds placed first in the women's 100 hurdles at 14.08 and
Mia Jackson followed in second at 14.17, moving them to the fourth and fifth in programs all-time performances.
WASHU DISTANCE CARNIVAL RESULTS
Sophia Harrison ran placed 73rd in the women's 1000m final with a time of 39:18.13.
Tyler Guthrie ran the men's 5000m where he placed 129 overall at 15:31.86,
Jackson Edwards followed in 206 at 15:59.46.
Kinze Shea ran the women's 5000m placing 73rd at 18:00.66.
SLU POWER / SPEED FESTIVAL
Teagan Sullivan claimed third in the women's long jump at 5.34m (17-6.25).
In the women's high jump
Harper Smith claimed first at 1.55m (5-1) and was followed by
Zaria Searcy who placed second at 1.50m (4-11).
Caden Belcher competed in the men's high jump where he finished in fifth at 1.85m (6-0.75).
Megan Derrick competed in the women's 400m hurdles where she finished in eighth at 1.11.56.
Kaylee Allen claimed first place in the women's 200m at 24.91. Also competing was
Jaiden Parker who placed seventh at 25.88.
For the men's 200m
Taylor Lehman placed second at 21.72 and was followed by
Konrad Sacha in fourth at 21.90.
Lehman also competed in the men's 110m hurdles where he claimed first at 14.73. Simon McLaine claimed seventh at 15.19.
In the women's 100m
Kaylee Allen placed second at 12.14. The men's 100m was ran by
Konrad Sacha who placed ninth at 11.08 and
Konnor Bouman who placed 19th at 11.26.
