Milbrath, Bell and Emerson Claim First Place Finishes at the Alexis Jarrett Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. – SIUE track and field saw several top finished across multiple events at the Alexis Jarrett Invitational Saturday.
 
Grant Milbrath took home first place in the men's weight throw with a distance of 21.63m (70-11.75), this is also good for second in the programs all-time top five indoor performances. Milbrath is currently tied for fourth nationally. 

"Grant's big throw really gave the entire team energy to power through our first competition of 2026," Head Coach Evan Marcus said. " We are motivated to continue honing in on the little things we can improve as the season progresses." 

Tanner Emerson won the men's 3k with a time of 8:50.31, Aaron Conderman followed in second with a time of 9:15.05.
 
Tyler Bell placed first in the men's 60m hurdles crossing the finish line at 8.25, this moves him up to third in the programs all-time top five indoor performances.

Nyah Williams placed fourth in the women's triple jump with a distance of 11.79m an indoor personal record. 
 
The men's mile was led by Reece Wolf who placed second with a time of 4:34.15 and D'Andre Watson followed in third at 4:39.84). Erica Woodard placed second in the women's mile with a time of 5:12.86.
 
THROWS
Also competing in the men's weight throw was Chance Butz (10th/12.96) and Tanner Gimm (11th/11.24).
 
Butz also competed in the men's shot-put placing seventh with a distance of 13.25m, and Grimm followed In eighth with a distance of 12.55m.
 
Allison Sanders led the women's weight throw placing sixth overall with 15.72m with Josie Hapack following in seventh at 15.07m. Also competing was Allison Taylor (10th/13.01m), Maryiah Menicucci (11th/12.62m), Abigail Irvin (12th/10.89m) and Alexis Feldhake (13th/10.03).
 
Josie Hapack finished in sixth for the women's shot put with a distance of 10.68m and was followed by Alexis Feldhake in seventh with a distance of 9.55m. Allison Taylor finished in ninth at 9.08m.
 
JUMPS
Teagan Sullivan placed fifth in the women's long jump with a distance of 5.52m (18-1.5), following her was Nyah Williams in 12th at 4.99m, Cassidy Short in 13th at 4.95m and Olivia Smith in 16th at 4.77m.
 
Payton Carter placed fourth in the women's pole vault with a height of 3.30m.
 
 
HURDLES & SPRINTS
Also running the men's 60m hurdles was Simon McClaine placing fifth with a time of 8.60 and Darius Alberty placing sixth with a time of 9.14.
 
Mia Jackson led the women's 60m hurdles, placing fourth with a time of 8.84. Also competing was Jada Fryer (10th/9.29), Olivia Smith (13th/10.02) and Harper Smith (15th/12.90).
 
Trenton Brooks made his debut for the Cougars, placing 11th in the men's 60m race, crossing the finish line at 7.09. Tyler Bell followed him in 12th at 7.14. Also competing was Zach Lane (18th/7.32), Konrad Sacha (21st/7.39) and Konnor Bouman (24th/7.43).
 
For the women's 60m Jazmin West led SIUE placing sixth with a time of 7.901, Lena Jackson followed in seventh at 7.910, Kaylee Allen placed eighth at 7.92 and Calie field finished in ninth at 7.94. Also competing was Jada Fryer (13th/8.02) and Darrelle Rice (18th/8.30)
 
In the men's 400m Plamedi Nseka placed eighth with a time of 49.95 with Norman Mukwada following in ninth at 50.36. Also competing was Caden Belcher in 11th at 51.71 and Simon McClaine in 12th at 52.20.
 
For the women's 400m Jaiden Parker placed fifth with a time of 1:01.29 and Makayla White placed in seventh with a time of 1:02.15.
 
Konnor Bouman placed 19th in the men's 200m crossing the finish line at 23.98. The women's 200m was led by Mia Jackson in seventh place with a time of 25.59. Following her was Jazmin West in 16th at 26.34, Lena Jackson in 17th at 26.36 and Darrell Rice in 24th at 27.86.
 
DISTANCE & MID-DISTANCE
Also competing in the men's mile was Logan Luttrell who placed fourth, crossing the finish line at 4:40.36.
 
For the women's mile Emilee Franklin placed four at 5:33.74, following her was Kaylee Sprague in fifth at 5:38.59, Ana Keller in sixth at 5:40.51, Arianna Neisen placed seventh with a time of 5:52.89 and Alexis Kamperth placed ninth at 6:01.22.
 
Also competing in the men's 3000m was Jack Willenbord who place third at 9:23.55 and Andrew Perry in fourth at 9:36.66.
 
RELAYS
There was one team competing in the men's 4x400m. Norman Mukwada, Simon McClain, Plamedi Nseka and Konrad Sacha placed third overall with a time of 3:21.57.
 
For the women's 4x400m Olivia Smith, Olivia Hansen, Kennedy Williams and Calie field placed fifth with a time of 4:04.61.
