Milbrath Wins Shot Put as Cougars Show Strong Performance in Day Two at OVC Indoor Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Junior Grant Milbrath highlighted day two of the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships with a first-place finish in the men's shot put at 1.65m (54-3.25).
 
Tyler Bell in a record-setting performance in the men's 60m hurdles, finished second in 7.96. He also placed seventh in the men's 60m dash (7.47). On the women's side, Mia Jackson earned a third-place finish in the 60m hurdles (8.63), moving to third in the program's all-time indoor tip-five list.
 
In field events, Payton Carter Set a new program record in the women's pole vault, clearing 3.74m (12-3.25). Drew Tucker placed fourth in the men's high jump at 2.05m (6-8.75), while Caden Belcher followed in 10th (1.85m / 6-0.75). Olivia Smith added a seventh-place finish in the women's triple jump (8.61m / 28-3).
 
Milbrath's win led two Cougars in the men's shot put, as Tanner Gimm placed ninth (12.99m / 42-7.50). In the women's shot put, Maryiah Menicucci finished fifth (13.05m / 42-9.75), Joise Hapack placed ninth (12.25m / 40-2.25) and Alexis Feldhake took 17th (9.93m / 32-7).
 
Konrad Sacha recorded a fifth-place finish in the men's 400m (48.61), which ranks fifth in the program's all-time indoor performance list. Norman Mukwada placed seventh in the men's 200m (22.07).
 
In distance events, Cullen Kreig finished 17th in the men's mile (4:28.77), followed by D'Andre Watson in 19th (4:29.39). On the women's side, Lexy Henrikson placed ninth (5:09.24), Kaylee Sprague came in 18th (5:19.02) and Mia Loafman finished 22th (5:27.73).
 
Erica Wood earned a sixth-place finish in the women's 3000m (10:08.61). In the men's 3000m, Tanner Emerson led the Cougars with a 16th-place finish (8:56.77), followed by Aaron Conderman in 20th (9:13.57) and Andrew Perry in 21st (9:18.71). Olivia Smith ran the women's pentathlon placing ninth overall.
 
The men's 4x400m relay team of Plamedi Nseka, Caden Belcher, Simon McClaine and Konrad Sacha placed fifth with a time of 3:19.54. The women's relay team of Jaiden Parker, Megan Derrick, Calie Field and Kaylee Allen finished ninth in 3:55.33.

The women's tied fifth of 11 teams and the men's team tied for sixth out of nine teams overall. Southeast Missouri State claimed first for both the men's and women's teams.
