2008 Women's Track team with 4th Place NCAA indoor trophy

The 2008 women's track and field team placed fourth of 41 teams at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships and then took fifth place of 58 teams at NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships. The Cougars captured the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. The team featured the Indoor national champions in the 4X400 relay with the team of Juliet Alrich, Deserea Brown, Coreen Ellis and Angel Royston. Alrich, Brown and Royston placed in the top eight nationally in the 400, while Ellis finished second in the 800. Brown also placed eighth in the 60-meter hurdles. Christin Butler placed third in the long jump, while Megan Dennis also qualified for the National Championships. Other members of the team include Lindsay Adams, Kimber Barrett, Shelinda Brackett, Breanna Branson, Stacey Briggs, Stephanie Briggs, Kayla Brown, Kelley Flounders, Heather Hackel, Sabrina Hamlin, Maggie Krall, Jessica Levey, Lindsey Mulvey, Jennifer Palovcsik, Natalie Patton, Jennie Satterlee, Valery Taylor, Amber Triner and Sidney Winslow. Head Coach David Astrauskas was assisted by Ben Beyers, Eileen McAllister and Katie Dowell.
