The NCAA Division II national champion at 142 pounds in 1987, Kip Kristoff completed his collegiate career as a four-time All-American for the Cougars (1986, 1987, 1988, 1990) under his coach and father Larry Kristoff. The national runner-up at 142 pounds in 1988 and 1990, he also placed seventh nationally in 1986. Kip helped SIUE win the team national championship in his first year with the Cougars in 1986.
