SIUE

Dick and Jean McDonald have been long-time supporters of Cougar Athletics in various capacities. Jean was a secretary and administrative assistant under multiple directors of athletics from 1978 to 2002. She followed the Cougars through numerous national championships and provided behind-the-scenes support for all of SIUE's sports, giving of her time above and beyond the call of duty. The department honored her in 2007 with the naming of theJean McDonald Service Award which honors individuals who have displayed a similar dedication to SIUE Athletics. Dick McDonald spent many years as a fan and mentor to the men's and women's basketball programs. He spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team.
